
Teenage Swimming Lessons
Our Teenage Swimming Program is designed specifically for teenagers who want to build confidence, improve technique, or strengthen their water safety and survival skills in a supportive, age-appropriate environment.
Whether participants are returning to lessons, need to improve their swimming ability, or want to feel more confident in deep water, this program focuses on skill development without pressure, helping teens become strong, capable swimmers.
Lessons emphasise correct technique, endurance, deep water confidence, and real-life water safety skills.

Teenage Program – Level 1
This level focuses on building confidence, independence, and core swimming foundations, particularly in deep water.
Key skills developed include:

Safe and confident deep water entries and exits

Independent front and back floating in deep water

Underwater confidence, including retrieving objects

Front and back gliding with control
-
Streamlined torpedo kicking without aids

Introduction to freestyle and back kick technique

Deep water treading for up to one minute

Jumping into deep water and returning safely to the wall
Teenage Program – Level 2
Level 2 builds on confidence and introduces strong stroke technique, endurance, and advanced water safety skills.
Key skills developed include:

Freestyle with correct side breathing

Continuous freestyle swimming (25 metres)

Backstroke technique and continuous swimming (25 metres)

Breaststroke with correct timing and coordination

Survival swimming skills, including survival backstroke, sidestroke, and sculling

Standing dives in deep water (minimum 1.5m depth)

Rescue skills: reach and throw rescues, calling for help

Complete deep water survival sequence, including floating, treading water, and swimming to safety
