
Adult Swimming Lessons
Our Adult Swimming Program is designed for adults of all abilities — whether you’re learning to swim for the first time, returning after a long break, or looking to improve technique and water confidence.
Lessons are delivered in a supportive, respectful, and non-judgemental environment, with experienced instructors who understand that adult learners have different needs and goals. The program focuses on confidence, correct technique, deep water skills, and real-world water safety.

Adult Program – Level 1
Level 1 focuses on building confidence, comfort, and independence in the water, particularly in deep water.
Key skills developed include:

Safe and confident deep water entries and exits
Independent front and back floating
Underwater confidence, including retrieving objects

Controlled front and back gliding

Streamlined torpedo kicking without aids

Introduction to freestyle arm action and back kicking

Treading water for up to one minute

Jumping into deep water and returning safely to the wall
Adult Program – Level 2
Level 2 builds endurance and introduces effective stroke technique, diving, and survival skills.
Key skills developed include:

Freestyle with correct side breathing

Continuous freestyle swimming (25 metres)

Backstroke technique and continuous swimming (25 metres)

Breaststroke with correct timing and coordination

Survival swimming skills including survival backstroke, sidestroke, and sculling

Standing dives in deep water (minimum 1.5m depth)

Rescue skills: reach and throw rescues, calling for help

Complete deep water survival sequence, including floating, treading water, and swimming to safety
