25m Pool Repair Works

The repair works for the 25m indoor pool at the Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre have begun Monday 24 July.

We have been working closely with project engineers and contractors to complete thorough site investigations, finalise engineering drawings and coordinate the delivery of the repair work. This has taken longer than anticipated, with the closure period now having to be extended. We estimate that the project will be completed from early to mid-October. This is about four to six weeks longer than the initial timeline.

We appreciate this is much longer than expected, and we thank our members for their patience. We will continue to provide members with updates as the works progress.

The project will include:

  • Pipe replacement (including saw cutting and concreting)
  • cleaning and re-coating the pool shell (this includes replacing the pool tiles)
  • painting the walls, floor and lane markings
  • relining the pool gutters and wet deck
  • resurfacing the pool concourse.
